The #2 Post Adapter is for use where a permanently mounted lantern is not called for, or where the use of an electric light is prohibited, such as near a swimming pool or spa. The #2 Post Adapter can't be beat for installations where it is desired to be able to remove the lantern for; bad weather, use elsewhere, ease of maintenance, theft prevention, etc..
