The #20 Junior was billed as the "Queen of the Cold Blasts," and is the 3/4 version of the #80 Blizzard, both of which were first introduced by Dietz in 1898, the pattern however was first produced as the Gem Cold Blast by the C. T. Ham Company in 1887. This lantern has possibly become the most popular, it is certainly the most often imitated. The rising cone makes for easy lighting and wick trimming.
